The paper looked at the benefits of energy consery ation using a digital kitchen timer. A digital kitchen timer is a simple clock-work mechanism which triggers on upon the application of load. The design principle of the device was examined, The simple circuit was achieved using two analog-digital converters, two transformers and a NAND gate. The block diagram of the model digital kitchen timer shows that it has seven segment display and a memory cascaded with a comparator. The device is meant for domestic allocation of energy to minimize waste and the user can code in any amount of power provided that the keyed in figure does not exceed the main supply wattmeter.
