Abstract

Anglican priests in the Diocese on the Niger face significant challenges balancing ministerial
duties and family life due to factors like traditional expectations, financial constraint, and
insufficient support systems. The paper exposes the challenges Anglica priests face with reference
to the Diocese on the Niger, as they strive to balance their ministerial and family. It discovers that
the unpredictable nature of pastoral work, which includes travelling, emotional stress, and financial
constraints, frequently places a challenge on marital relationships, parenting responsibilities, and
family well-being. It examines factors such as time management, financial limitations, and
emotional burdens accompanying their calling. The paper, therefore, suggests that adherence to
ecclesiastical principles, integrity, modesty, and robust church support can help priests achieve a
balanced ministry despite these difficulties.
