La question se pose, depuis la naissance de la littérature africaine de savoir quelle approche théorique peut être utilisée pour l’analyser.L’on entreprendl’analyse textuelle aussi bien que l’analyse des réalités littéraires, politiques et sociales mises en fiction dans les œuvres. Ainsi, la question d’approches à adopter se lève.La sociocritique, la thématique et la postcoloniale se pointent d’emblée.Pendant que la sociocritique propose des réflexions sur les rapports entre les œuvres et les sociétés étant une approche considérant l’œuvre comme le reflet de la classe sociale qui l’a produite,la thématique se tourne vers les recherches dans l’œuvre des certaines attitudes d’existences qui font l’originalité d’un auteur. Et lapostcoloniale axesur la critique et focalise les recherches sur les périodes après les indépendances. Cette communication vise donc à réfléchir sur ces trois données du canon esthétique de la littérature africaine et à proposer un facteur commun aux trois à intégrer afin de hausser le blason du canon esthétique de la
littérature africaine.

Abstract
Since the advent of African literature, the question of which theoretical approach suits its analysis has always been on the front burner. Research method being thetextual analysis of literary, political and social realities fictionalized isn the works are usually undertaken.Thus, the appropriate approach to adopt becomes an issue.The socio-critical, the thematic and the postcolonial approaches come to mind immediately. While the socio-critical approach reflects on the relationship between the literary works and the society being an approach that considers the work as a mirror of the social class that produced it, the thematic approach tends to concentrate on some factors that project the originality of the author,while the postcolonialapproach focuses primarily on post independence Africa. The objective of this article, therefore, is to reflect on these three elements of the African literature esthetic canon and to propose a common factor to be integrated to them in order to raise the stake of the African literature esthetic canon.
