Abstract

Workplace diversity management and organizational performance of deposit money Banks in Katsina state. The study used primary data collection through mailed questionnaire administered to 296 sample employees by Yamane (1967) sampling technique. Structured questionnaires were administered to the employees of the 8 banks in Katsina State. The respondents were selected using simple random sampling technique. The data used for the study were gathered by the use of questionnaire and personal interview and observation and were analyzed by simple percentages, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The collected data was coded and entered into the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program (SPSS). Finding revealed that diversity team building, diversity recruitment and diversity training have positive and significant relationship on organizational performance. Based on the findings, the study the study recommended that the management should continue to uphold its diversity team building, diversity recruitment and diversity training in the banking industry in order to increase the benefits of workforce diversity and come up with motivational programs that recognizes younger employees in team success.
