Abstract

The purpose of the study was to ascertain the relationship between principals’ change management
practices and teachers’ adoption of Artificial Intelligence technologies in public secondary schools in
Anambra State. Correlation research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study
comprised 267 public secondary school principals in Anambra State. Census technique was used.
Principals’ Change Management Practices Questionnaire (PCMPQ) and ‘‘Teachers’ Adoption of AI
Technologies Questionnaire (TAAITQ)’’ were used for data collection. The reliability of face
validated PCMPQ and TAAITQ was ascertained using Cronbach alpha method to obtain reliability
coefficient values of 0.77 and 0.71 respectively. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment
Correlation coefficient. The findings of the study revealed that a very high positive and significant
relationship existed between principals’ resistance management and teachers’ adoption of AI
technologies in public secondary schools in Anambra State. Based on the findings of the study, it was
recommended among others that principals should be more strategic in their resistance management
process so as to sustain teachers’ adoption of AI technologies in public secondary schools in Anambra
