SEMANTIQUE ET PRAGMATIQUE EN TRADUCTOLOGIE : UNE ETUDE CONTRASTIVE

Abstract

Based on whether one defines semantics and pragmatics from one point of view or another, the two disciplines are either complementary or disjointed and autonomous from each other. We argue in this article that semantics is integrated with pragmatics. They are complementary and necessary to each other. The arguments to support this article are not to be sought. First, it should be
remembered that at the heart of pragmatic theories are three major semantic concerns. These are the three responses to the three concerns which establish the difference between pragmatic theories. These concerns are: the limit of meaning, the calculation of sense, and the nature of context.

RESUME
Selon que l’on définit la sémantique et la pragmatique d’un point de vue ou d’un autre, les deux disciplines sont soit complémentaires, soit disjointes et autonomes l’une de l’autre. Nous soutenons dans cet article que la sémantique est intégrée à la pragmatique. Elles sont complémentaires et nécessaires l’une à l’autre. Les arguments pour appuyer cet article ne sont pas à rechercher. Premièrement, il convient de retenir qu’au cœur des théories pragmatiques se trouvent trois grandes préoccupations sémantiques. Ce sont les trois réponses aux trois préoccupations qui consacrent la différence entre théories pragmatiques. Ces préoccupations sont les suivantes: la limite de la signification, le calcul de sens et la nature du contexte.
