About the Journal
JMEL, which is an acronym for Journal of Modern European Languages and Literatures, is published by the department of Modern European Languages, Faculty of Arts, NnamdiAzikiwe University (NAU)Awka, Nigeria. This university is a frontline Federal university in the South East part of Nigeria.
The Journal has a very erudite team of editors and reviewers and publishes well researched articles, twice a year. The maiden edition was published in 2008 and the first edition in 2014 in print and online.
Authors are encouraged to write in whatever language(s) they are proficient. However, English versions of abstracts are required for papers that are not in English.
JMEL publishes both hard copies and online versions for open access. All articles published online have direct links, thus providing direct access of articles.
Focus and Scope
JMEL: Journal of Modern European Languages and Literatures is a peer reviewed journal of modern European languages and literatures devoted to the promotion of excellence in theoretical and applied research and the dissemination of research reports as tools for learning.
JMEL publishes scholarly articles on topical issues and developments in Linguistics, Translation and Literature and all aspects of modern European languages and literatures. Submission is open all year round.
Publication Frequency
JMEL is a bi-annual publication, expect two issues in a year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
