Abstract

In this paper, Taguchi robust design method has been applied to obtain a robust regression model which optimizes
the rate of corrosion in oil and gas pipeline systems. Orthogonal array design for the L824 was used to establish the
process response parameters, also a quadratic regression analysis of the optimal values for the parameters presents
us with a quadratic model. Sensitivity analysis on this model displayed temperature (P2) as the most sensitive to the
system response. The optimal values of P1 (Mean Ph), P2 (mean temperature), P3 (Mean pressure) and P4 (Mean
aqueous CO2 partial Pressure) were established.
