Abstract

This study used volume fraction of the hybrid fiber, coupling agent and coir/plantain fiber ratio as the control factors for determining the optimum thermal properties of coir/plantain hybrid fiber reinforced polyester composites. Taguchi design technique was adopted in preparing the samples, investigating the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N ratio) for the quality characteristic of the control factor levels required to optimize each thermal property of the samples using Minitab 17.
