GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES

 

Contributors are expected to write their names, institutional affiliation and their mailing address, with brief bibliographical profile of not more than five lines. They should also keep copies of the materials sent. Pay the non-refundable review fee of seven thousand Naira to 1027068637, Awka Journal of English, Bank: UBA and attach the receipt together while sending the article to the email address: [email protected] (Those outside Nigeria may contact the editor via WhatsApp on +2348066181358 for more information on payment). The publication fees is twenty-five thousand naira once the paper is accepted for publication only for the online publication which is visible to Google Scholar.

Note that AJELLS publishes quarterly on year basis, so if you miss any quarter you may join the next quarter for that scholarly article.

 

Length: Articles should be within 6,000 and 6,500 words.

 

Format: The articles should be double spaced written on one side A4 paper and should be numbered. Articles should be in Times New Roman, Font 12. Recommended reference styles are APA 7th edition and MLA, 9th edition or any other referencing style, but consistency is the watchword in one chosen style. Articles submitted to AJELLS must be original, written by the author, and should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. The topic and subtopics must appear in initial capitals and use block paragraphing all through. Plagiarism is highly discountenanced in AJELLS; so authors should subject their papers to plagiarism check before submission.

 

Copyright: The contributor should ensure clear permission as the editors will not take such responsibility. The author must approve the article before we publish the final article in our journal.

 

AJELLS insists on quality, originality and sound theoretical and empirical bases in all papers. Emanating from the Department of English Language and Literature, a high level of grammatical constructions, proper organisation and presentation of facts, good paragraphing and error-free write-ups are germane. Authors are expected to properly self-edit their papers before final submission.
