About the Journal


The Journal of Biomedical Investigation (JBI) is a publication of the Biomedical Research Association of Nigeria (BRAN) of the College of Health Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The journal seeks to promote interdisciplinary research across all Biomedical Sciences. It publishes original articles, case studies, reviews and short communications in the field of medical sciences, clinical laboratory and experimental medicine, and related fields (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiotherapy, Radiography, and Medical Rehabilitation, Clinical Pharmacy, Psychology, etc).

Journal of Biomedical Investigation is an open access, peer-reviewed, bimonthly, online and print journal that covers all fields within the Biomedical Sciences including the allied health fields.  The journal publishes high quality, original research works as full-length papers, review articles, short communications, fast without delay in the developing field of medicine and allied medical sciences. Preference is given to work that is well-articulated and presented in interesting ways that readers can relate to. JBI only publishes original papers written in English two times a year. Plagiarism Policy


We maintain a strict policy against work that is not original and ensure that all research work shared with us is authentic by various means necessary. We only accept original content from authors, which means that their works have not been published previously and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Open Access Policy


This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Open Access authors retain the copyrights of their papers.
