E-LEARNING FOR SUSTAINABLE OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING IN NIGERIAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

Abstract

The recent efforts by government in the area of education cannot be over emphasized. On
the other hand, the rapid development in E-learning in recent years have resulted in
significant changes in the way the world operates and communicates. This in turn, has
had an impact on educational needs, both in terms of the content and the delivery of
educational services. This paper highlighted the usefulness of E-learning in open and
distance education, the paper also identified some challenges militating against the use
of this technology in the education sector and made useful suggestions to combat them.
