The Journal of Theoretical and Empirical Studies in Education
(JOTESE) is a publication of the Department of Educational
Foundations, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State,
Nigeria. It publishes well-researched theoretical and empirical papers
in all aspects of education. This is in line with its objectives to publish
high quality papers that have the capacity to inform policy both
nationally and internationally. This stresses its importance as a
journal of education. It is published twice in a year.
This issue, the eighth (8th) edition of the journal contains twenty-five
articles that have been vigorously peer-reviewed. It is a compendium
of articles in both theoretical and empirical studies in various fields of
education. Hence, a quality volume and good reference material for
educationists, researchers and readers in this Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) age. The editorial board
acknowledges with thanks all the efforts of the team editors, peerreviewers, the contributors and others who in one way or the other
contributed towards making this edition a success.

peer-review process, accepted papers are published and made

information. We assure all readers of this journal of highly investigated work
in education.
The seventh edition of the journal contains sixteen articles that have been
rigorously peer-reviewed. We believe that our readers will find this edition very
interesting and educative. The Editorial Board acknowledges with thanks all
