LES APPRENANTS IGBOPHONES FÂCE À LA PRONONCIATION DES SONS FRANÇAIS

Bien de chercheurs s’accordent sur le fait que l’apprentissage d’une langue étrangère est souvent associé à des difficultés (Lauret, 2007 ; Ezeani, 1999). L’apprenant n’arrive pas souvent à réaliser correctement des sons de la langue seconde parce qu’il a déjà acquis la prononciation des sons de sa langue maternelle. Il a souvent tendance de transférer la prononciation et les règles de sa langue maternelle à la langue qu'il apprend. Cette recherche propose d’examiner les problèmes qu’affrontent les igbophones dans la réalisation des phonèmes français. Pour ce faire, nous allons comparer les phonèmes français et ceux de l’igbo pour en dégager les
convergences et les divergences entre les deux systèmes linguistiques afin de prévoir les points problématiques et interférents.

Abstract
Many researchers affirm that learning a foreign language is often associated with difficulties (Lauret, 2007; Ezeani, 1999). The learner finds it difficult to correctly pronounce the sounds of the second language because he or she has already acquired the pronunciation of the sounds of his or her mother tongue. The learner often tends to transfer the pronunciation rules of his mother tongue to the target language. This research proposes to examine the problems that Igbo speakers face in the production of French phonemes. To do this, we will compare French phonemes and those of igbo to identify the areas of similarities and differences between the two
linguistic systems in order to predict the problematic and interfering points.
